Entwistle Community Church (affiliated with Baptist General Conference) is seeking a lead pastor after

sending their current pastor to plant a church.

ECC is situated between the city of Edmonton and the Rocky Mountains. It is located in Entwistle and

borders the Pembina Provincial park. Entwistle is 50 min west of Edmonton Alberta along highway 16,

and only 2 hours to Jasper.

Entwistle is a small community with the boarding town of Evansburg. Agriculture, oil and gas, and

logging are the main industries thriving in the area. Summer tourism is booming as Seba Beach and

Pembina river are minutes away from the town. The Entwistle/Evansburg area is growing as we have

seen many families from urban centers choosing this area to be their new home over the last few years.

ECC is in a season of growth and transition and is looking for a Pastor to build and advance a unified

vision for the future.

Requirements and Qualifications

We desire a leader with formal theological education (graduate degree from an evangelical seminary

preferred).

We desire a leader with the personal character, lifestyle, family life, emotional and physical state of

health which is in accordance with 1 Timothy 3.

We desire a leader who can clearly communicate and execute our mission, which states: Because of the

Gospel, Entwistle Community Church exists to make disciples who; love Jesus, love His people, and live

to make Him known – all to the glory of God.

We desire a leader who is committed to be a person who motivates and equips ministry leaders and

volunteers.

We desire a leader who practices the way of Jesus and lives with integrity.

We desire a leader with a strong ability to relate to people of all ages and cultures.

We desire a leader who is fully committed to the Baptist General Conference Statement of Faith.

We desire a leader who takes responsibility for staff oversight and care.

Terms

● Called, hired, and empowered for ministry by the Congregation upon recommendation from the Church Board.

● Salary as determined by the Church Board, approved by the Congregation, and expressed in the letter of call. Compensation and holidays will be developed based on - Education, Tenure and Experience.

● This is a permanent full-time position (40 hours a week, flex time) with a benefit package (as per the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding).

Accountability

● Accountable to the Church Board.

● Accountable to the Congregation through the Church Board.
